It’s been a while since we’ve posted about events in Kilkenny, there’s so many to cover it’s hard to get around to everything! The Kilkenny Cat laughs was another great success this year. Following on from this there are plenty of more festivals and activities to keep you occupied on your trip to Kilkenny. A new festival called Light Colour Sound takes place in Shankill Castle, Paulstown Friday 4th and Saturday 5th of July. It is a festival of music art and culture and there are some great Irish acts included in the line up. Full details can be found at www.lightcoloursoundfestival.com
For the more active, why not try the Graignamnagh/Tinnahinch Regatta and Rowing Festival 3-4th August, details here. Or how about the Kilkenny Triathlon on Saturday 19th of July where you get a chance to swim the River Nore, run around the grounds of the Castle and cycle out to Kilkennys beautiful countryside! The ever-popular Kilkenny Arts Week will take place from the 8th-17th August.
