It seems the summer is well and truly over, and what a great summer (and September!) it has been! As the leaves begin to fall and the evenings get colder there’s still plenty of reasons for a trip to Kilkenny. The bank-holiday weekend (24th-27th of October) is full of activities whether it’s food or zombies that you’re interested in!!! The 8th Savour Kilkenny Food Festival begins Friday 24th of October and is guaranteed to have something to suit all tastebuds, from the Kilkenny Food Trail, Long Table Artisan Dinner, a Wine Goose Chase, Afternoon Tea, Pumpkin Carving…….the list goes on! Full details of the programme can be found on the Savour Kilkenny Website here and on their Facebook page.
If you do come to Kilkenny for the Food Festival, don’t get too scared if you see there’s a few Zombies lurking about…yes I said ZOMBIES!!! The 25-26th of October will also see ZOMBIEFEST taking place in Kilkenny! There will be a Thriller Dance World Record attempt on Saturday, a Zombie ball, Zombie movie screenings as well as Haunted Tours of Kilkenny. Full details can be found at the ZombieFest Facebook page or the ThrillKenny website. Apart from the Zombie Walk all other activities are strictly for 18 years and up but full details can be seen on the website!
